iastor.sys
I get the BSOD from this file quite regularly and now, it is annoying. After doing some powersearching, I think it is common with dell machines with the intel chipset. Ive had a look at a couple of sites, and i havnt really found a solution.
But i have a medion MD97000 which i think uses these parts.
I searched my computer for iastor.sys and 4 results came up. C;/windows/system32/drivers and some other places near around there.
This site www.file.net/process/iastor.sys.html
states my iastor.sys file size of 872064 bytes. I don’t know if it it is a critical file or not. Could i remove it, rename it? Will that still make my computer work are completely stuff it?
When i first had this problem 6 or so months ago, there was nothing in google about it, and now there is, so it is getting more common i guess.
I get the BSOD mostly when coping files
Could i have some help if you think i know how to fix it, or give suggestions on what i can do.
Ive tried a couple of things of some sites, but they haven’t worked
This site is similar (or the same) problem that i have www.ydeologi.com/2006/04…-code-0×000000d1![]()
I found this
“My BSOD took me about 4 months to solve, but solve it I did. I simply went to the Intel site and downloaded the latest version of their storage manager and all was well. It was version 4 that was soooo bad. As soon as I put in version 5, all was well again and no more BSOD.”
But i don’t really know what drivers to use. If you want, i can tell you all the specs. If you could show me a direct link to the drivers, that would be good.
Anyone else had this problem and know a solution.
I am quite good with knowledge of computers, but not really software + hardware together, ie updating drivers.
